Lookout Mađerkin Breg

The lookout tower has a total height of about 27 m. Consequently, the visitors reach the peak of Međimurje on top of it, at an altitude of 361 m. The view from the top is simply breathtaking.

Furthermore, there is a bike rest point where bicycles can be serviced, right by the viewpoint.

The scenic viewpoint named Mađerkin Breg was built as a part of the "CSA-CycleSeeing Attractour" project co-financed by the Interreg V-A Hungary-Croatia 2014-2020 program within the European Fund for Regional Development. The leading partner on the project was the Municipality of Štrigova, together with the Tourist Board of the Štrigova Municipality and the City of Nagykanizsa (HU). The project lasted from September 1 2020 to July 31 2022.

In addition to the construction of the lookout, several cycling events and workshops were held, a promotional brochure of the border area was created, and a web application was developed measuring the ecological footprint, all owing to the project.
